Help Self Help Centre (HSHC) is an NGO established in 1993 and registered in Kenya as a non profit making organization with a mandate to undertake programmes in sustainable development. In pursuing its mandate, HSHC facilitates a process through which the disadvantaged rural and urban populations recognize their own capability and common interests and use this knowledge to analyze their needs and development objectives.
Mission
To contribute to the improvement of the environment, social and economic well being of the rural poor populations. To enhance people’s capacity to take responsibility of their own development process. This goal is realized by facilitating full participation of target groups in development and management of their development process.

A society that is just, democratic, equitable and able to provide own basic needs.
Objectives
- To generate technologies that addresses equality, income generation and sustainable local resource management.
- To strengthen local institutional and human capability to implement and manage their own development programmes.
- To improve the target group’s capacity to share experience and ideas on positive and negative development practices.

America, Africa and Indonesia. His main interest lies with activities fostering sustainability, innovation, transparency and a more equal distribution of capital and income.
Joa Maouche is working as project manager for Bio Energy Utilities, his specialty lies with project implementation. He is being trained in social geography at NHL university Leeuwarden . His main interest lies with environmental protection, fair-trade and fair-practice.
